IT’LL ALL COME OUT IN THE WASH

There’s a very shy and retiring chap who lives just around the corner from the Cliff Top Residence. He makes stuff from flotsam and jetsam. His work is on show at the Pelican Diner in Hastings from Thursday October 10th until Thursday 31st October. Free entry. As you can see from this screen shot of […]

I MISS MY SHED

The Open Studios ‘thang’ finishes this weekend. In many ways I’ll be pleased as I’ll get my shed back. It has never been so tidy and organised. I’m looking forward to messy pottering again. In the meantime I shall pretend to be very neat and efficient to the visitors that will no doubt be flocking […]

OPENING DAY OF OPEN STUDIOS

This is a piccy of the party which was organised to celebrate the opening of the Coastal Currents Festival 2013. The party was held in the Jerwood Gallery in Hastings. We didn’t stay long as we didn’t want to overshadow the other rather ordinary and mundane people. Our hostess for the evening said as we […]

HASTINGS – OPEN STUDIOS 2013

For those people who get dragged round arty farty exhibitions by their partners when they’d rather be doing something else I have provided a game to play. There will also be tea, coffee and gingernuts available so it isn’t all bad. Starts Saturday the 21st at 11 o’clock. Full details here. Blimey!!!! That’s tomorrow!!!! *PANICS*

BACK TO MY ROOTS

Not long to go now. Here is a piccy of my very latest piece. If you want to see what it’s all about you’ll have to pop into the Cliff Top Residence during the next two weekends.* The population in and around Hastings is a diverse one. Arty fartists, culture vultures, the bucket-and-spade brigade, occupants […]

FOR THOSE WHO MISSED MY VERY PRIVATE VIEW

Oh goody, the first review is in and it’s extremely positive. (As I can’t find my gingernuts this morning it appears that Fred is the one who took the biscuits) Full details of Coastal Currents 2013  HERE

A CUT ABOVE THE REST

I’m making a huge effort to be very welcoming for the Coastal Currents Open Studios 2013. An unexpected benefit to my munificence has been that the seagull population has stopped abusing the front lawn ever since I put up the notice. I suspect that they can’t read as well as they think they can.

OPEN STUDIOS 2013 – MISSION STATEMENT

The Open … … experience I’m trying to create requires people to get their … … and I’m also trying to help … … see the true path of adaptability. I’m even supplying some footprints to follow. Full details of Coastal Currents to be found here. Page 65 is particularly interesting. What’s for tea?

THE BEST LAID PLANS

Well, I thought that Dickie Bird Van Dyke would end up here … … sitting on the roof of the Cliff Top Residence … which it did briefly. Unfortunately the light was wrong for a large proportion of the day and it looked rubbish so I had to remove it (not easy BTW). It’s now […]

STONE THE CROWS

If there’s ever ‘The Best Bird on a Stick’ competition in the village, I reckon we’re in with a chance.
