This weekend is the last weekend of Coastal Currents Open Studios and, so far, it’s been grand. I’ll be adding some of these … … to the Mad Hatter’s tea table as a friendly nod to Tracey M&M’s notorious ‘My Bed’. I hope none spill out though … … as I don’t particularly want any […]
September 7, 2015 – 5:59 pm
Using my super power of peripheral vision I noticed that many visitors to my Open Studios didn’t do as they were told. They missed out on this. I wasn’t surprised but I must admit to some disappointment. Ho hum
August 22, 2015 – 7:30 am
My work is done. Everything is in place for my Open Studio exhibition ‘Thru the Keyhole’ and I’m ready to throw open the side gate. The responsibility is now firmly in the eyes and minds of any visitors. I shall, of course, be there to make cups of tea and coffee and hand round the […]

A typical conversation from the last time I participated in this annual vibrant Coastal Currents cultural event ran along these lines. “Why do you bother?†“Everest.†“The double glazing company?†“No, the […]
January 15, 2014 – 6:38 pm
Is this the sort of thing we want to see in Hastings? Or even masses of naked flesh draped all over the sea front!!!!!?! Of course it is. There are plans for a flashing flash mob this coming Friday down at the Stade Open Space. Full details on the Jerwood website – click HERE for […]
October 7, 2013 – 6:38 pm
There’s a very shy and retiring chap who lives just around the corner from the Cliff Top Residence. He makes stuff from flotsam and jetsam. His work is on show at the Pelican Diner in Hastings from Thursday October 10th until Thursday 31st October. Free entry. As you can see from this screen shot of […]
REPORT ON LAST SATURDAY’S PREVIEW
It all went jolly well and I’m looking forward to throwing open my side gate again next weekend and the weekend after as part of Coastal Currents Arts Festival 2015. Full details available here. Overheard last weekend – “Distressing.†“Why?†“Apart from all that, the biscuits were delicious .†“Oh that reminds me, we need […]
