The more observant of my avid readers will have noticed that it’s been Latin week here.
This is in celebration of some primary schools over here that have put Latin back on the curriculum. As Lo, she is a terrible Goddess says to me on an almost daily basis “Latin is extremely useful Peabrain, it shows you the root of so many words”.

Is it true?Latin back in school?In Coimbra’s University Classical Studies might end because no one wants to teach latin and greek anymore.My sister studyed greek in highschool,I do not know why,she was good at it,his teacher wanted her to follow classical studies.She went for Portuguese-English instead but I know more english than she does…And I learned it all in highschool not University…I had a blond teacher that was really fond of Bristish history.For a while I knew more about your country’s life than my own…
Only some schools – I never got on with it very well. It’s more difficult than Portuguese!!!!
