I hope he plans on taking the suit off before he stumbles blindly into the sea. The hat… not so much. I think it’d be kind of awesome to keep it on whilst surfing.

Does the quote from you have anything to do with gingernuts?

    daddyp replied:

My quote, which is very cogent and will be of great value to old and young alike, can only be discovered by people who buy the book ……. [brilliant marketing ploy DP!!!! - *claps himself on the back causing mild discomfort*]

gosh Penfold must be a great surfer if he can do it on the Thames dressed as a middle aged civil servant… [oo I see that 'men in grey suits are sharks.. very clever :-) ]

    daddyp replied:

    ‘Clever’ isn’t a word I’ve ever associated with him …. perhaps I should have a rethunk ……..

    70steen replied:

It’s obvious he has been hiding his bushel from his dear old dad …

Congratulationary thingies to Penfold. When will it appear in the bookstores of the antipodes? I really want to be able to take a book to the counter and bore the check-out chick with the information that I know the author. And his father and his mother and even his spice.

    daddyp replied:

I suggest buying one [or several] using the Interweavy thingymibob – and then persuading a bookstore or two to stock them. A perfect excuse to chat up the chicks *looks round to make sure Buff isn’t watching*
