THE IMPORTANCE OF SITTING DOWN

My life is dictated by chairs
Not the worries of global affairs.
My need to sit down
Is the talk of the town,
It is one of my greatest cares.

My life is dictated by chairs
Those devices to house derrieres.
In the garden or house
For myself and my spouse
There must be loads – with a couple of spares.

My life is dictated by chairs
From sofas to bentwood in pairs,
And I’m terribly keen
That the space in between,
Be no more or no less my height squared.

My life is dictated by chairs
This thought I am proud to declare
The best for my bum
[The home of my thumb]
After all I’m a man of affairs.

I find it’s difficult to encourage Morris to tango, but maybe i’m using the wrong approach…

The lyrics, the accordion, and Morris’s age.

    …break dancing would make this…a different…thing.
