THE GRAND DESIGN

The trees and flowers both will flourish,

Whilst there is goodness still to nourish,

The stones and boulders will hardly change

To alter the look of the mountain range.

The sun will shine, the moon beguile,

The sighs of loss, a lover’s smile

Continue – the dance goes on

Long long after our final yawn.

    The architect, when requested on-line,
    About an economy cliff-top design,
Said “I gave London ‘The Gerkhin’,
    so i’ve given up workin,
unless you can blog-sit at mine”

    daddyp replied:

The time has almost arrived to form the Lead Poet’s Society – renditions go down like lead balloons and groans can be heard from several miles away ….

….. anyone interested in joining, please form an orderly queue …….

    70steen replied:

    queuing…..

    Life’s grand design
    I will stand in line
    with the mass of bloggers
    waiting patiently with codgers

    Is that a zimmer?
    I caught just a glimmer
    of a silvery frame
    didn’t catch his name!

Don’t let me wait too long
coz I may break out into song
    the sun is shining
    don’t want it whining

    Whose teeth are these?
    did someone sneeze?
    full top and bottom
    but maybe you have forgotten?

    Life’s design has its riches
the clue is avoid the glitches
I fully intend to smile at every dawn
before I face that final yawn

    daddyp replied:

This is exactly the type of poem needed …… excellent young 70’s ………..

    70steen replied:

do I get a lead medal??

    fracas replied:

I’m not sure what a ‘lead medal’ is, but you definitely do deserve a medal fraccy sis… on oh so many levels! <3

    archiearchive replied:

Wonderful stuff, 70’s. Now, is this going to be the Lead Poets Society or the Lead Poets Society?

    daddyp replied:

The former I reckon …… I’ll take the lead ….. if I can carry it …..
