THE CONTEMPLATION OF THE NAVEL

The temptation just to sit in the shade of a banyan tree and contemplate one’s navel is, on occasions, very strong.

There are some concerns however:

1. Where exactly is the next meal coming from?
2. Have I got an umbrella in case it rains?
3. Quite frankly my navel is extremely boring.
4. Oooo …… I might need a cardigan …..
5. I wonder what “Loose Women’ were talking about today?
6. Where’s the b****y computer!!!!?!
7. The TG better join me soon or there’ll be TROUBLE!!!!!

.

(I am not the least bit tempted to sit contemplating your navel, banyan tree or no banyan tree. Lo,TG Ed)

I was quite content with the prospect of standing around a muddy field in Forest Row until you put thoughts of The Seychelles in my head, mmmm, if I left for Gatwick now, I could be contemplating travel brochures by lunch-time. On second thoughts, I can’t afford the train fare, i’ll just take the laptop to the muddy field…………

I agree the navel is a very boring body part. Besides who really wants to mess with a button that when pushed does nothing.

The banyan tree is worshipped by those who want children. Just another reason to stay away from it.

I was going to make a considered and erudite comment but the thought of naval fluff in the chocolate sauce just put me right off!

I was sitting under a Sweetgum tree contemplating my gums. I realized they were as boring as navels and went for a pint at the pub.

    daddyp replied:

Sugar babies are slightly less boring ……… I might join you down the pub though ……. Guinness?
