I haven’t suffered from wind for several days now – it’s been quite a relief for everyone I think – quite the Indian summer.
However I’ve just looked at the weather forecast for the next few days and it’s going to come back with a vengeance.
Oh well, I suppose it’s the same for everybody. (Not quite the same, Peabrain. Lo,TG ED)

Be careful never to open an umbrella indoors when you have wind. You’ll get seven years of broken mirrors.

a knitted toe length Balaclava helmet may do the trick see 70s for some handy keep warm hints…. non specifically for wind except that above with adaptations
(sealed in of course to prevent draughts & unwanted leakage)
I’ve read all your handy hints to cope with the cold – some of them are brilliant. Can you start knitting now? – winter draws on and all that ……….
