I can’t remember when I saw ‘2001 – A Space Odyssey’ but the salient date has been and gone.
Yes, it’s my birthday today, and I don’t know whether to start panicking or leave that for another year. I guess that as long as there are gingernuts in the world I might as well continue as normal, i.e., a mild state of bewilderment tempered with giggles.
The title? ……. as the years trundle on I have a good excuse to be a grumpy old man …….. yippee!

If your account is anything like mine, 83 of those will likely be from those people who promise ‘bigger’ things if you just happen to buy their little pills, 49 will be opportunities to purchase degrees (I myself, am planning to buy the two older fraccy children exactly that for Christmas this year and use the school tuitions to buy myself some ritzy jewellery) and another 76 will be from some people who (near as I can figure it) desperately want to sell hardware because the subject line is always something about big rods or poles or something like that. I don’t know for sure, because I just delete them, but I can’t imagine hardware is best sold by email.
Anyway… you’d best tend to that inbox. You never know what incredible offer you might miss if you don’t.
