SPRING UPDATE

I have been rather concerned about the camellias. They have appeared to be on the point of bursting forth for several weeks. I even went to the trouble of searching the interweave to see if such a thing as a ‘flower training bra’ existed – with some very interesting results. I even considered speaking to an expert.
However ……..

……. this happened yesterday so that’s all right then. They seem to be managing quite well without my tender loving care.

Looking good to me, Happy Saint Patrick’s day BTW.

    daddyp replied:

Saint Patrick? – wasn’t he something to with Eire? Top of the morning to yer ……..

    gitwizard replied:

Thought you knew all about Blarney. If you or your visitors have never visited Ireland, shame on you!
They are the friendliest people you will ever meet!

    daddyp replied:

Oddly, my father was born and brought up in Ireland although not Irish, I/we’ve never been there …. indeed shame on me/us …….

    gitwizard replied:

Go There, I promise you it will be your best holiday.

    daddyp replied:

Better than Bognor Regis!!!!?! …… blimey

    gitwizard replied:

As a person of your age knows, ANYWHERE is better than Bognor Regis!
I suffered many years there, I escaped to Chichester about 2 years ago.

    gitwizard replied:

Don’t bother with Dublin, far too commercial, head for the lovely West coast, Killarney is a good starting point.

    Kate replied:

County Wicklow is beautiful too – my family come from there – Hippy St Patricks Day!! Nice flower, well done!

    gitwizard replied:

The Wicklow Gap is especially beautiful, go visit.

    daddyp replied:

Has everyone been to Ireland except me and the TG? ……. sheeeeesh

    70steen replied:

Only dun Dublin on a Hen Night night so that counts as never visiting Ireland at all (it could have been anywhere in the world!)… would love to visit the beautiful places that are Ireland where my gt gt grandfather came from

    gitwizard replied:

I’m not going to repeat what I heard when a bus-load of tourists were disembarking from a coach, at a spectacular viewpoint in Ireland, I will just mention “Hymie” “pelts” and the fact that I was laughing so much I couldn’t stand, let alone drive for another hour.

    70steen replied:

shushh GW don’t spill the beans 😉

    gitwizard replied:

And Dublin is great for a night out, how was your head the day after 70s?

    daddyp replied:

What are all these beans doing on the floor? ….. tsk

    70steen replied:

my head was with the beans on the floor …. 😉

That will look terrific in full bloom … don’t forget to deadhead and prune well 😉

    daddyp replied:

That’s the trouble with camellias, they ‘go over’ so quickly and look a bit rusty ……. a bit like me ….

    70steen replied:

    do you need deadheading too???;-)

    daddyp replied:

According to the TG ……. probably

    gitwizard replied:

I’ve got my can of prunes, how do I ‘well’ them?

    daddyp replied:

Give them an aspirin and tuck them up in a well dug bed ……. easy peasy

    daddyp replied:

‘They seem to be managing quite well without my tender loving care.’
    .

Shouldn’t that be ‘…despite your tender loving care.’?

    daddyp replied:

…… ‘without’ was the correct word as I went to press – ‘despite’ will be appropriate ere long no doubt …… where’s the blowtorch?

    Lo,TG replied:

    Diane – what you said!

(It’s so nice to have the day off….)

    Diane replied:

Any time, pleased to step in.

I’m sure there are quite a few of us just dying to help you out. We’ll just form an orderly queue….

I am confused, sorry DP but I have to use your comments section for this:
I am trying to leave a comment on your blog Gitwizard, and it won’t let me – fatal errors ad infinitum – just wanted to say in case you thought i was ignorant!

    daddyp replied:

You’re very welcome Kate …… most new blogs have a few teething problems …… I remember the time when, not so long ago, when my first blog ………. hello? ……. hello? ……….. where’s everyone gone? ……. oh well

    fracas replied:

They’re all in the board room… I just announced coffee/tea break with sticky buns (and by that I do mean the edible kind… just in case John is feeling confused again about my lovely comments….)

Are you not hearing the announcements over in the cupboard again? I suggest you turn down the ABBA.

    daddyp replied:
