I am a caterpillar
It really is a farce
I climb up into the trees
And slide down on my hands and knees.

I think the reference was to the post before the previous post. (It seems that flap at the back of your pyjamas has come undone in the wind created by your daring motorcycle escapades and something is showing.)

I’m not sure ‘cute’ is the word, but who am I to question your guests? I’m just the secretary.

    daddyp replied:

    I’m very cute ….. from a distance …… honestly

    DaddyP can make me laugh

He must be from outer space.

…but do caterpillars have hands – or knees for that matter?
    Sorry to be pedantic…

They certainly have knees – “Most caterpillars have tubular, segmented bodies. They have three pairs of true legs on the three thoracic segments, up to four pairs of prolegs on the middle segments of the abdomen, and often a single pair of prolegs on the last abdominal segment. There are ten abdominal segments. The families of lepidoptera differ in the numbers and positioning of the prolegs.”

The hands issue can be explained by poetic license …… sheeesh – do I have to explain everything?

    Diane replied:

    Doesn’t mention knees…

    daddyp replied:

In insects and other animals the term knee is used widely to refer to any ginglymus joint.

I just read your post on here
It’s poetry – thats very clear..
I’m not very good at those
so tiptoe-ing away – on my toes!!!!

    daddyp replied:

There is no need to state
That brilliance is displayed by Kate
    So I’ll keep ‘Mum’
    What’s done is done
And resign myself to the destiny that has been defined [possibly] by what some call ‘fate’.

    Kate replied:

fate- ah now there’s a word
the like of which we have not heard
it means ‘what will be will be’
Its not up to you – or me!!!

    Que sera, sera mi amigo!!!

    Very nice DaddyP! :)

    daddyp replied:

I’ve just been looking at your mole ….. tee hee

    Olga, the Traveling Bra replied:

Will you be writing a poem about my mole???

    daddyp replied:

    If people stalked the interweave
    And looked at TwitPic carefully
    A sight to see! I don’t deceive
    Blog Mistress snogging openly.

And blatantly for all to see
    A mole placed so delicately
That if not told so clearly
Could be a drop of dark brown tea.

Go look if you don’t believe
The truth’s out there – honestly,
Not a blemish you must agree
It made me smile and go “tee hee”.

If Olga comes back she might leave a link if she’s a mind to …….

    Olga, the Traveling Bra replied:

I think my mole is actually smiling! :) Hee-heeeeee!!!

    Olga, the Traveling Bra replied:

Here’s my mole…for those who care:

    daddyp replied:

So long as moley doesn’t get ratty – that’s the main thing ………..

    Olga, the Traveling Bra replied:

I’ve gotten so used to it being there… I dont really notice it anymore….but now, with your poem, I think my mole is finally getting the attention it deserves!

    Olga, the Traveling Bra replied:

Just posted your poem on me blog! XOXO

    daddyp replied:

Hello Jaffer ….. everything deserves a little poem ……. well, nearly everything

    Jaffer replied:

    What a beautiful little proem
To a little spot of beauty
Odd it is put into poetry
A mole and words from A to M

Your rhyming scheme is rather rum.
In fact it leaves me quietly numb.
A shame, the depths to which you’ve come,
Pulling random rhymes out of your Concise Oxford English Dictionary

I LOVE the “OLGA” POEM The MOST.

    daddyp replied:

It’s because she’s ‘worth it’ Meleah ……. in a way

    fracas replied:

Well DP, you do know that Olga got involved with Mr. ‘L’ because he reminded her of you… don’t you?

I’m glad to see the two of you renewing these old aquaintances again. Perhaps she’ll head your way to see how all her slave labour help during her last visit has resulted in such a fine Cliff Top Residence?

Surely you won’t make *her* wait until you’ve built a shed, now… will you?

    daddyp replied:

Fraccy – sweetest of them all
    Built to intrigue and enthral,
I’m hoping that being on the ball
That someone will help build my stall

If Olga fails to do the job
What will I do? *sob sob sob*.
I know what! – [hope begins to throb]
Fraccy will help the poor old slob.

    fracas replied:

Well that’s a sob story if I ever heard read one!

You know I’d help you build your shed DP… but with your penchant for dropping things, I can’t do so until I get enough donations for a pair of steel-toed boots. Tools are much heavier than papers and pencils I must say; the fraccy toes are a bit worried!

    daddyp replied:

They’ll be fine …… trust me I’m an ……. idiot

    fracas replied:

    Don’t you mean twit?

    daddyp replied:

I think that proves my point ……

    daddyp replied:

…… or yours of course …..
