Every few years or so, I do like to pamper Lo, she is a terrible Goddess and take her out for a memorable meal.
The day before yesterday I drove her up a mountain to try and find a special restaurant with lovely views and a romantic atmosphere. It took quite some time to find a suitable establishment. Obviously an expensive place that would fit the bill would just be too easy to find. I like to make an effort for a special occasion.
After several hours of extensive research, driving round hairpin bends and getting a tad disorientated and just at the point when the TG was about to faint, I found the perfect spot.
We enjoyed a slap-up meal of one course, accompanied by some real Coca Cola Light followed by delicious coffee made with genuine UHT milk. All for less than €20!
The atmosphere of eating right on a main road with a lovely view of a shed roof (real roof tiles!!) was greatly enhanced by extremely friendly wasps and flies. The icing on the cake arrived in the form of a gas delivery truck with a very noisy broken exhaust and clouds of fumes.
I believe I’m in good odour at the moment although it’s a bit difficult to tell as the TG has hardly said a word since.
