My blogging room ……. I mean Lo, the terrible Goddess’s office ….. is getting there. The window is installed …….
…… although it originally arrived with one pane of glass missing and they managed to crack one of the other panes during installation which was a bit of a pain. They popped back a couple of days ago to sort it out.
I put in the patio doors, so obviously that went well with no problems …….. in a way ……… least said soonest mended.
I’ve plastered and painted and finished the electrics …… now I’ve got to put down the floor insulation and the limed oak flooring followed by the skirting boards and architraves, then build some cupboards around the gas meter and the electricity meter, put a new door in between here and the living room and then furnish it ……. simples.
Actually I can’t face it at the moment, I’m going to London for the day ……. bye …..

After you’ve finished all those little jobs, can you photoshop that black line out of the ceiling?
It took me ages to paint that line on the ceiling!!!!
If the Sistine Chapel had black lines on the ceiling, they’d look just like that…
Michaelangelo was rubbish at straight lines ……
And before you know it, you’ll be finished! What will you do with all your free time?? x
I’ll be in the position to offer my children lots and lots of advice …… I’m really looking forward to it ……..
Umm, finish off the things that were ‘finished’ earlier?
*puts fingers in ears* ….. la la la la la la la la la
Could you use that match thatch as a merkin?
I could be rude and say “Don’t beavers eat wood?” ….. but I won’t …….
looks lovely! but the patio door? shouldn’t that be just a few inches to the right?
You know… I hadn’t noticed it until you mentioned it, but now that I’ve examined the photo again, I can see how right you are; it does need to be just a few inches to the right.
Good thing you came by today… imagine if he’d just left it the way it is!
OK OK, I’ll look for my BIG CLUB HAMMER and my COLD CHISEL …… and decide what ….. or who …… I’ll use them on later …….
Good god, you actually intend to finish this project? Do you think that is wise?
It is all looking very good.
If I don’t finish it …… soon ……. I’ll be needing the double protection shin pads …….
What you were in London today?? So was I …. how did I miss you?? Mind you London was mentally busy today perhaps I missed your box in the throng.
The ‘guest’ accommodation is looking fabulous. Just some art work on the walls (oh and flooring, radiator, very comfy couch, big flat screen TV, glitter ball etc etc ) and it will be perfect for when I come to stay 🙂
It was muggy in the Smoke wasn’t it? I didn’t breathe for about 6 hours …….. and with reference to your other comments …… LOOK!!! A BUTTERFLY!!!!! …..
Oh it was horrid … the Tube was like a sauna …. re my other comment awwww a butterfly theme ….different but nice 🙂
The butterfly is outside ……. QUICK, YOU”LL MISS IT, IT’S HEADING NORTH!!!!!!!
You have put an awning on as well fab!![a bit of the outside but within .. smart move]
*bangs head on keyboard a la John C*
Just out of curiosity, how long did this project take you?
My husband started a kitchen renovation in May. MAY. MAY. MAY. It’s not finished yet.
I’m thinking he’s *slow* both physically and mentally.
He’s chosen shag carpeting for the kitchen countertops and deer pelts for flooring.
Now, you’ve said May but haven’t said which year so it’s a tad difficult to say whether he’s swinging the lead. [Note to self – order some shag-pile – brilliant idea!]
