I wiped my brow and glanced up at the fierce sun. My tanned skin glowed with a honeyed sheen, my flat stomach reflecting the scene before me [similar to looking at the back of a spoon but murkier]. (??? Bother, I’m going to have to send everything I’m wearing to the cleaners at this rate. Lo,TG Ed)
I turned back towards the house and reached for the handle of the door only to be greeted by Lo, she is a terrible Goddess. (There are very good reasons to be Terrible, believe me. Lo,TG Ed)
“You’re not coming in here in that state. Take your trousers off and shake them outside, and then CAREFULLY go and have a shower – and clear up when you’ve finished.”
She turned on her neatly turned heel and returned to the chaise longue.
I removed my trousers, shook them and defiantly refusing to take my socks off I made my way past her as she was flicking through her diamond catalogue.
