LET JOY BE UNCONFINED …..

…….. and Margery, Doris and Ethel ……. my shed has arrived!!!!!

shed floor

The base fits the bricks I’ve laid …….

shed bits

…… the side panels are on their sides …….

more shed bits
……… and the roof is on it’s edge.

Tomorrow, I shall fight gravity, a bag of bits, instructions written in Japanese and a howling gale, and create a little piece of heaven on earth.

.

{{{Yessss. Now where did I put that EXTREMELY LARGE padlock?  Suppose I’ll have to set up the water and dry biscuit dispensers, oh and a sleeping bag with his pillow. What else…… nope, think that’s everything. Dum di dum di dum. Lo, today I am so happy, so happy, so happy,TG Ed}}}

I bet you are like a dog with 2 …tails…. so how many times did you sigh with delight yesterday ? lol

TG… have you inspected the footings in case there is secret escape hatch??

    daddyp replied:

Sigh with delight?!!!! – I’m worried it’s going to rain now – Is the wind going to pick up? Am I going to be two screws short of a shed? – the responsibilities are taking their toll I tell you – I even spotted a grey hair this morning ………

    Lo,TG replied:

{{{70’s – he thinks I haven’t seen it. I’m lulling him into a sense of false security – I have a small bag of ready mix hidden behind his All Bran – one bag to free him, one bag to bind him. Poetic, n’est ce pas?

    }}} Bother.

    70steen replied:

    {{{very poetic ….I don’t think he spotted the hidden comment he will be too busy preening himself in the shed ;-) }}}

    daddyp replied:

Why’s this comment blank? What’s going on? ………

    70steen replied:

blimey what happened … best check with your ISP .. or it could be your shed interfering with the interweave waves !!!

    daddyp replied:

Leave my shed alone!!!! I won’t say it again …..

    70steen replied:

Gosh you have come over all possessive … shouldn’t there have been a manly grunt in your comment? … yep see what I mean the waves are being interfered with …..

    daddyp replied:

The relationship between a peabrain and his shed is very personal and sensitive …… particularly a new relationship. I have to bend it to my will you know ……. non-interference would be appreciated …… *grumble* *moan* *tsk* and, most scarily, *pout with extended lower lip*

    daddyp replied:

I see that the TG has everything under control ….. in a way ……..

I hope you have this together by the time my flight lands. I am so going to show this to Walter. You should see the back porch I currently have! I am afraid of it!! I would take a sledge hammer to it but I am not sure where the electrical wires are.

With my luck I would electrocute myself first swing!! By all means stay away from my blog right now. I am once again very agitated!!

Oh brother you would think at my age I would have learned my lesson. But, no not me. I prefer butting my head against the wall, over and over!!

I do have plans in the distant future when the war ends to return to blogging for the sake of blogging!! So hang on, it’s a bumpy ride right now!!

    daddyp replied:

Oooo – what’s happening? I haven’t been over for a couple of days have I? I’ll be there shortly …… [update tomorrow on the shed - I wonder how it went?]

Oh dear. I thought you were building it from scratch… like a woman would. I’m sure if you asked TG, she’d show you how.

In the meanwhile, best make sure there’s enough mint in the pantry.

(([[{{Truthfully, it's quite impressive... all that he manages to get accomplished, but don't tell him I said that. In fact, I'm making use of all the bracket types just to be sure he doesn't catch on...}}]]))

    daddyp replied:

Actually, I’ve always built them from scratch before …… but spookily, this one was so cheap, cheaper than I could buy the wood and fittings for, I couldn’t resist ……. being a pensioner an’ all – tee hee. [I am going to have to 'beef' it up a tad though - it gets VERY windy here].

    Lo,TG replied:

By the time you’ve finished beefing it up, Peabrain, you may as well have started from scratch.

What did we do with that large anchor from the boat? It could be handy.

Is it going to double up as an entry point for the escalator to the beach?

    daddyp replied:

I wish there was an escalator to the beach ….. or a Stannah Stair Lift would be brilliant!!!

A boy with his toys… scarcely a more joyous moment does life provide. I’m am agog with giddiness on your behalf. All this joy has made me sleepy. I think I’ll take a nap. Let me know when the shed is finished, will you?

    daddyp replied:

    IT’S FINISHED!!!!!!! – [sort of]
