I am blown off course
But an ill wind it was not
The food down South is bloody fantastic, so quite frankly, I think I’ll hang around here for a few more weeks.
[a few weeks ago]
[a couple of days ago]
This young chap arrived about 6 weeks ago looking rather dishevelled, wet, cold and hungry. He looks fine now but obviously the fodder that our neighbours are supplying is too good for him to bother to go home. He has a ring but won’t allow us quite near enough to read his number so that we can contact his owner. Still, he’s no trouble.

Wait a second… are you sure that it’s the same bird in both pics??
Definitely ….. unless they’re identical twins of course ….. [went to the Post Office yesterday BTW .... ]
Pigeon-post would’ve been cheaper……
Dammit! ….. I should have thought of that ….
I wonder if he’d like to try some pie… from the inside.
What!!!!?! Eat my ickle friend!!!?! ….. got any recipes?
try bribing him to come down from the roof tiles. what is it that birdies adore? chocolate? a fine single malt scotch? oh, wait. that’s what they use to get me down from the roof tiles…
Now I’m wondering what you’re doing up there in the first place ….. I suppose it’s a nice view. You should have organised the choccy and booze before you started the ascent ………. it’s all down to being ORGANISED. [note to self- I really must tackle this problem more thoroughly - obviously goddesses are in need of my help]
awwwwwww
I’ve just been outside rendering [not unto Caesar but onto a wall] and Mr Pigeon was sitting about 6 inches above my head giving advice …… ooooo, perhaps it’s a Mrs Pigeon……..
So far it looks like we could have the gospels of:
Wife
Goddess
Pigeon
One more and we’re all set. I wonder if 70steen has time to pen one also…
I’m thinking ‘Gospel of the Glitter Ball’ ….. it might just work!
ooo what a coincidence I have been outside pointing [not at something but a wall]……
Has to be the ‘Gospel of the High Heels’ watta ya think dear Frac?? Although I do like the Glitter Ball idea too.
Blimey that poor pigeon looks like he had a rough old journey… but not as bad as the two decapitated ones I found in my garden when I came back from holiday … they were so plump they would have made a good old pie but unfortunately the maggots got there first !!!
One section I’ve just rendered is very good and another section is going to need re-constructive surgery …… I’m not sure what went wrong ….. oh well …….
[I've hidden your comment about the h**d-l**s p*****s from Mr/Mrs Pigeon .... I don't want to upset him/her]
[there was another fatality this morning ... thankfully it still had its head but what a lot of feathers!!!... I must admit wood pigeons are the doziest of birds they meander about without a care in the world when a cat is inches away!!]
I’m surprised no one has congratulated you for “soft pawn” yet! I am still snickering gently.
Pigeons. Poo. Pie. Peregrine falcon. Somehow all these terms seem to go together in my mind.
Thank you HMH ….. I quite liked today’s Match of the Day myself …… I am a tad concerned about your word associations though ….. *looks worried*
Where are you? South of England or back in Portugal? I didn’t know the food was good in England…..
What!!!?! …. the food here is marvellous! ….. well, the TG’s cooking is of course… [actually the food in Surfugal leaves a lot to be desired I'm afraid ..... but don't tell anyone will you]
He is the eggman, someone there must be a walrus, coo coo kachoo. Now, that I have that out of my system, are you sure he isn’t coming down due to fear of reprisal by a jealous llama or something?
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together …… which includes Gertrude I assume ….
