GROWING PAINS

Shed 2

The shed is growing … as, apparently, is my thumb. I don’t remember hitting it. Oh that reminds me, if working with young inexperienced builders, don’t ever say “When I nod my head, hit it with a hammer” referring to a nail that I thought didn’t need specifying.
If you want me I’m either in my shed creating my installation for the 18th August or I’m building this super-duper edifice.

Wow. I would not have described that as a shed. I would have said it was a garden cottage. Sheds, in my book, are rectangular. As soon as you add more to the rectangle, it graduates out of shed-dom…

    Watch out for that tree.

It’s going to be a multi-use outbuilding. My esteemed clients [I have to say that as they pop in here every now and again] will be using it for storage and then, if Mr Client gets his way, it’s going to be part storage and part studio – loads of glass and an outside sitting area for inspiring works of art … aided by some fine wine and canapés …

Nice shed you’ll have, if you don’t kill yourself in the process – be careful!

I wish it was my shed … perhaps when it’s built I’ll have it craned out and transported the 21.8 to 24.3 miles* to the Cliff Top Residence.

*The council keeps closing roads and I have to keep changing my route – grrrrrrrr

I agree with healingmagichands, that’s far more than a shed. Are you thinking of letting it out as a holiday let? I would watch that thumb if I were you and might be a good idea to take out some insurance…

Don’t give Lo, she is a terrible Goddess ideas … my uninsured state makes me feel safer.

hmmm… when you’re done building this, perhaps i could hire you to finish renovations on mom’s ‘shed’…

    daddyp replied:

Of course, I could pop over when rain stops play here … which happens a lot *sigh*

I’d expect you might need planning permission for something of that magnificence.. of course I could be wrong!

Would you like a hammock and a chandelier to go with that *shed*?

    daddyp replied:
