Known as biscuits as well ……

ORIGIN Middle English : from Old French bescuit, based on Latin bis ‘twice’ + coctus, past participle of coquere ‘to cook’ (so named because originally biscuits were cooked in a twofold process: first baked and then dried out in a slow oven so that they would keep).

…… we don’t really use the word cookie …..

Peanut Biscuits, FOREVER!

What’s the difference between a biscuit and a cookie on your side of the pond, DP? Your biscuits would fall into our ‘cookie’ category, but there’s tons of variations.

Two ‘biscuits’ with a creme center make a ’sandwich cookie’. What do you call that as well?
