Whether a birthday present from a French sophisticate arrives to greet you when you get back from holiday…..

……. or if presents arrive very late from a teen of the 70’s ……
…… it cheers you up no end – whatever the weather is like [wet and windy ever since we returned ………. tsk].
Thanks, Blogworld goddesses ………. you know I’m worth it ……. tee hee ……. [sitting here drinking coffee from mug, chewing on some Edinburgh Rock and looking at Sylvie's lovely painting ...... it's a hard life].

sorry my pressie was so late … I was worrying that the Edinburgh Rock would go out of date by the time I got chance to get to the PO,,[PO = Post Office but also only open Pensioner 'ours]
I do hope you put up your sign in the Ovlov to warn fellow road travellers ….
Loving Sylvies painting it is so relaxing
The Edinburgh Rock is lovely – takes me right back to travelling in Scotland with my parents. Obviously I haven’t been North of Tunbridge Wells for decades ….. way toooooo scary …….
Seems to me you’re skirting the issue of whether or not you installed the warning sign fraccy sis was so wise to send.
I’m afraid now we’ll need a photo as proof you’re doing your civic duty.
Pre-warned is pre-armed …… so no, I haven’t installed it …… I’m not that silly ….
well aren’t you the lucky bot. hope you’re sharing your sweeties with TG
I’ve got a lucky botty? …… perhaps I shouldn’t sit on it so much ……. and yes, I are sharing nicely *munch munch*

Another editor!!!!! ……. good grief ……..
actually it’s a typo, I meant lucky boy
….. and there was me thinking it was an Antipodean “thang” ……….
Sylvie’s painting reminded me of the Patrick Procktor painting “The Guardian Readers”, minus the readers of course.
Oooo, Patrick Procktor ……. I had some drawings and sculptures in a mixed exhibition that he was showing in as well, just one of his watercolours ……. out in Finland a looooooooong time ago ……..
what does my pressie remind you of GW???
It reminds me of a nightmare I had once about an elderly Scotsman wearing a kilt as they should be worn in a high wind ……. just sayin’
could this nightmare have anything to do with an incident whilst travelling in the wilds of Scotland as a wee Bairn??
I think it might be a ‘flash’ back …… tee hee
Visiting Edinburgh Castle and other historic houses (mainly in the Borders). My journalist friend’s 29th floor (eek!)flat, Irvine Leisure Centre and flapjack (Scott’s porridge oats).
Oh,and of course the total lack of gingernuts in the photo.
I had to look up Patrick Procktor, unknown to me – thanks for the discovery gitwizard – glad you enjoyed your present DP
I am looking forward to my presents for Christmas…I think…
The presents are for the WHOLE family ….. if everyone is into disappointment, you’ll all be very happy!
['Enjoy-ing' your fab present - it's on the wall next to one of my drawings]
I understand that Sylvie’s gift contains a bit of magic. Apparently, each time you touch the edge of the painting, a little bit of Sylvie’s sohpistication wears off. ‘Tis the reason the painting will never hang straight.
Quite a brilliant idea on her part… after all… something had to be done…
That’s very clever young Fraccy – I was just going to start complaining about typos …… unlike me I know ….
What tpyos?
“Where did you go for your holidays last year”
“Oh, we went to the little Greek island of Tpyos”
“Nice?”
“KO I propose – the fetid cheese was to dye for”
Oh. Em. Gee.
You’re not going to believe this, but I’ve been there too! Had a bit of a problem with the cheese though. Oh, not the colour, but because of lactose intolerance…
I think I gained at least five pounds from all the balaclavas…
(chuckles….)
That’ll teach you to stop using steel wool when knitting ……
edinburgh rock – isnt that an old beatles tune?
I’d stick to Snoopdoggydog if I were you Nooter ……
