DADDY PAPERSURFER EXPOSED

The Daddypaparazzi managed to get some sneaky footage of me sans cardboard box, sans scarf and sans t-shirt over my head and fixed on with a cloths peg. As it’s highly unlikely that this won’t make the main news on the TV I thought I’d come clean here and steal their thunder ……….

……………………  HAH, fooled and foiled them!!!!! – I’m not as simple as I look ……

Just between you and me, (ok, and I guess everyone else who visits here) I’ve always thought you had a rather complicated look…

    daddyp replied:

Confused simplicity I can assure you young Fraccy ….. are there any buns?

    fracas replied:

Oh… I was actually talking about your look, but given that I understand your issues needs, I suppose I could pass you a bun. Would you like a bit of something to go on that bun, or shall I break it up and toss it to you bit by bit?

    {{lol 70steen, do you think he’ll figure out the duck reference there with the bun?}}

    daddyp replied:

I’m not a duck you know ….. I don’t suppose you thought of that ……sheeeeesh

    70steen replied:

    {{ not sure about the duck but ‘Just for men’ may be needed http://www.expresschemist.co.uk/pics/products/6611/0/justformennatashbrown.jpg *snigger*}}

    daddyp replied:

    Those brackets failed 70’s!!!!!

[Do you think it might work? ..... shussssh]

    70steen replied:

    * looking around concerned at the bracket security*

[It may just do the trick... just get the right shade to match your eyebrows ]

    daddyp replied:

[Which one? ...... they don't match very well]

    70steen replied:

go for the more vivid one ,, it will take years off you …..

    daddyp replied:

Okey dokey – the middle one it is!

    70steen replied:

‘mono’ is usually the best one

    daddyp replied:

    *grazes knuckles on ground*

Underneath that calm, simple, exterior beats the heart of a complicated man… And underneath that is a lunatic!

    daddyp replied:

So young and so full of insight!! – tee hee

    Evan replied:

    If I had a penny for ever time I heard that…… I’d have a penny…. And a half….

    daddyp replied:

    Shall I say it again ……. ?

    Evan replied:

    Yes, please!

    daddyp replied:

OK ……. “it” …….. tee hee heeeeee

    Evan replied:

    Hmm… Hardy-har….

    daddyp replied:

    fracas replied:

You make a good point fraccy sis!

    daddyp replied:

    daddyp replied:

And here’s me thinking you are usually rushed off your feet trimming hedges, building steps, gardening, shopping etc. – and there you having time for a nap.

And why do you wear your hat indoors?

    Diane replied:

    PS nice slippers…

    daddyp replied:

Sandals actually …… unfortunately they are very comfortable and are worn 24/7. The TG has objected on several occasions about wearing them to bed but I have ignored her ….. obviously I take my hat off when we have visitors ……

Sadly writer’s block attacks people world wide – even if they are not wearing hats. I have a theory that the importance of the – umm – chair err chicken Oh what’s the word! Goddess – no, that’s not it – I think I may have written the last thing I will ever write – My brain has leaked out.

    daddyp replied:

Did it have to leak out here? I suppose I’d better find a mop …… heavens Archie, it’s HUGE …….

Aren’t you worried that having the laptop actually in your lap is going to have an impact…well, you know, on your baby-maker counts?

    daddyp replied:

I’ve got two little chaps already David, aged 41 and 42, that’s quite enough …….

I was always intrigued: do they exist: bloggers who blog for the fun of it in stead of for the money?

Then I should have known… all those DP remarks about lying on the sofa…

    You are an IKEA consultant!

    Quite a brilliant one, obviously!

    daddyp replied:

I’ve only been to IKEA once …. and I swore never to go again. So far as I remember, that sofa/futon thingy came from a shop in the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. If I’m wrong, I’m sure the TG will let me know …….

    Linky Love replied:

Oh, that comes to tell where IKEA gets their inspiration from, not sure yet about where you get it from :-)

    daddyp replied:

Easy, naming bricks and watching slow drying paint dry ….. slowly …..

    Linky Love replied:

Lucky you to live in a country where lots of houses have bricks…

    daddyp replied:

I’m kept very busy ….. and also, walls have ears ….. which is nice ……

    Linky Love replied:

How many ears on average on one brick? And do you count a difference before and after the economical turmoil started?

    daddyp replied:

There’s economic turmoil!!!!!?! – good grief ….. am I safe?

    Linky Love replied:

Do you have a safe to begin with?

    daddyp replied:

Nooooo …… do I need one? …… this is getting very complicated …….

  10. Posted August 6, 2009 at 2:18 pm | Permalink

    oh that was nuts!
i put it on a loop and check it regularly for inspiration

    daddyp replied:

No chasing the little birdies Nooter or there will be no snacks for you ……..

    Nooter replied:

now that youve forbidden it i reeeaaallly want to chase them….

    daddyp replied:

Fetch!!!!! …… *throws stick* ……. [gets him every time ...... sweet]

I am concern about the slippers and heavy trousers in this summer heat – someone needs to find his shorts and sandals – where is the TG?

    daddyp replied:

The TG is in hiding Sylvie. Actually, the trousers are very light weight and they ARE sandals!!! Perhaps I should have been wearing socks ………

    70steen replied:

Sylvie do you know what you are saying ????

    daddyp replied:

I think that she’s actually lost it now ….. I wasn’t going to say anything though ……

  12. Posted August 6, 2009 at 4:41 pm | Permalink

Chickens and ducks, or DUCKS and chickens (ducks like to be first at everything, they’re such self-entitled overcompensating little twits)…ducks and chickens can REALLY interrupt great moments of inspirational writing.
    …so can bats.

That’s why I keep the ol’ 12-gauge handy.

    Look!! There goes one now!

    **BLAM!

    daddyp replied:

Thank you Static ….. you can be the official poacher ….. I do need to concentrate on my inspiration …. it’s very elusive …..

My favorite part was that fabulous hat….

    daddyp replied:

Hello JennyMac – fab-u-lous dancer and all round good egg ……. the hat is a star ….. it’s a cricket hat actually ….. not that I play cricket you understand – way too frantic for me …….

    gitwizard replied:

I much prefer your synchronised knitting outfit, much more sedate.

    daddyp replied:

    I am getting a tad racy I suppose …… over excitement …….

I have a writer’s block. It sits on my desk and I use it as a paperweight. No wait, that’s a cinder block. Er…nevermind.

    daddyp replied:

The confusion is acceptable, obviously, but a cinder block on your desk!!? – it must make dusting a nightmare Leeuna ……

  15. Posted August 7, 2009 at 2:52 am | Permalink

I have always wondered about philosophical questions like: If a writer has writer’s block and there’s no one there to witness it, does it really occur? Now I know… Of course, there were witnesses, in this case. But did the writer in question know there were witnesses? Drat, more questions than answers!!

    daddyp replied:

In that brief but erudite paragraph, you’ve summed up what philosophers have pondered about for generations Jamie ……

BTW, behind the camera was a very large oak tree, that during filming crashed to the ground …. I think that might help in your never ending quest for enlightenment ……

    Jamie replied:

    Did it make a sound?

    daddyp replied:

    I don’t know – I had my eyes closed …..

Staged. Totally staged. Not even DP. People fall for the simplest things sometimes.
